The Lee Family tragically lost their beloved son and brother, Jace, to suicide in August of 2023. He was just 15 years old. Jessica’s co-worker, a grieving mom who had received our support after the death of her son the year before, referred her to The BeliEve Foundation. We were honored to connect with Jessica to learn more about her son Jace. We worked together to determine the most impactful way we could help their family move forward.

It was important for the family to have a place where they could honor and remember Jace. The BeliEve Foundation provided financial support to create a meaningful space in their home to do just that.

In a follow-up discussion, Jessica mentioned their college-aged daughter was looking for resources to help her adopt an emotional support animal. We were so happy to help with the adoption fees to make this a reality. Bumi the cat was adopted in February and has been a huge source of comfort and healing for the entire family.

We also sponsored Jessica and her husband Jesse’s stay at a weekend retreat at Faith’s Lodge this summer (2024). The couple attended a Bereaved Parents of Suicide Loss retreat. These grief retreats provide a haven for families grieving a loss to reflect and connect with people going through similar experiences.

We are honored to walk alongside the Lee family and provide relief, hope, and support as they move forward. We continue to be here for the Lee family and all other grieving families in their time of need.
